Dear Reader,
Ever since I moved to Los Angeles from NYC last year because of being hit by a taxi, a journey chronicled in my yoga journal, I have been made aware of “The Blackness Law.” I am always watched, followed…cabs refuse to pick me up. These accepted practices of harrassment and discrimination in this city have always been referred to as the dangers of “driving when Black.”
Enough already.
This is my place to articulate, understand, and work towards social change–to find community and advice. Let’s try to the the change in this world, one blog post at a time.
President Obama is right. Yes we can.
